Job Summary
As an Intern/Graduate Electrical Engineering BESS Consultant, you will support our technical advisory team in delivering consultancy services for BESS projects. This role is ideal for final-year university students, recent graduates, or junior professionals seeking hands-on experience in the energy sector while working flexibly.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist in technical assessments and feasibility studies for battery energy storage projects.
- Support the preparation of technical layouts, reports, and presentations for clients and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with senior consultants and multidisciplinary teams to integrate BESS technologies with existing energy systems.
- Research and summarise regulatory requirements, industry standards, and best practices.
- Contribute to technical specifications, cost estimations, and documentation for project proposals.
- Participate in evaluating project performance and suggesting improvements.
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in BESS technology and market trends.
- Electrical Design Review: Support the review of electrical designs, including single line diagrams, project specifications against datasheets, and grid compliance documentation.
- Grid Code & Compliance: Develop an understanding of grid code and grid requirements relevant to BESS projects.
- Power Studies: Assist with power study analysis and interpretation.
- AutoCAD: Demonstrate competent experience with AutoCAD software for electrical design tasks.
- PowerFactory: Experience with DIgSILENT PowerFactory is ideal but not essential.
- Languages: Knowledge of a second language, particularly German or Spanish, will be considered a bonus.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (or final-year student) in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
- Interest in energy systems, grid integration, and energy storage technologies.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly.
- Familiarity with technical software tools and modelling applications is an advantage.
- Competent user of AutoCAD software.
- Experience with DIgSILENT PowerFactory is desirable but not essential.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Previous internship or project experience in the energy sector is desirable but not essential.
- Knowledge of German or Spanish is a bonus.
- Unrestricted right to work in the UK is essential.
